Spectators: 7451 (Terracing: 5590, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hampus Vallman got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Funtime FC booed when Västerås City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olof Lundqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Västerås City's zone, Urban Olsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wictor Utfal came out of the goal and Urban Olsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fredrik Lundberg hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Wictor Utfal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hampus Vallman, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Funtime FC's Rickard Linberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Verner Brandin in the 11th minute of play. Henrik Viklund was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. Rickard Linberg went to the wrong direction when Andréas Wallander was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Rickard Linberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Sundström, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Wictor Utfal was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Otto Nilsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Otto Nilsson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Verner Brandin in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rickard Linberg saved Funtime FC from getting behind. In the 30th minute Thomas Sundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Linberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Verner Brandin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rickard Linberg was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Rickard Linberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Sundström, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute, Mark Kling made a precise shot to the right of Rickard Linberg. Funtime FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Verner Brandin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Rickard Linberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rickard Linberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verner Brandin in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Albert Landin threw the ball into play from the sideline. Funtime FC's Otto Nilsson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Hampus Vallman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mark Kling to make the kick off. After 52 minutes Funtime FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andréas Wallander who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Västerås City's Andréas Wallander to fire away a dangerous shot which Rickard Linberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 53 played minutes Funtime FC got a freekick which was hit by Otto Nilsson. Funtime FC's Rickard Linberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Funtime FC from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute Verner Brandin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Linberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rickard Linberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Sundström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Verner Brandin kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Funtime FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Sundström came free, but Rickard Linberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Fagrell in the 73rd minute of play forced Funtime FC's goalkeeper Rickard Linberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olov Broman charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olov Broman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Funtime FC! The goalkeeper, Rickard Linberg, was totally fooled by Västerås City's Andréas Wallander, who 75 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Rickard Linberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Verner Brandin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Funtime FC's Rickard Linberg got control of the ball when Mark Kling tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mark Kling came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rickard Linberg could save by the left post. Hampus Vallman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Funtime FC's Rickard Linberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Funtime FC from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute, Otto Nilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Otto Nilsson charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Otto Nilsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 96 played minutes Funtime FC got a freekick which was hit by Otto Nilsson. In the 97th minute of the match, Verner Brandin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rickard Linberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 97th play minute Verner Brandin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rickard Linberg. 1-4. Västerås City's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
