Henrik Holmgren came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Al-Långvinkeln II's Magnus Svanér. But to his dismay, Magnus Svanér quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kjell Karlstedt during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, Erik Siggman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Älvsjö IFK getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jonas Aspengren hit a great ball. A long shot from Mattias Browald in the 24th minute of play was well struck, but Henrik Holmgren made a really good save at the right post. Marcus Söderlund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rutger Blomqvist in the 45th minute of play forced Älvsjö IFK's goalkeeper Henrik Holmgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrik Holmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rutger Blomqvist in the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rutger Blomqvist made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eric Lundgren during the 56th minute. When Rutger Blomqvist came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Al-Långvinkeln II fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rutger Blomqvist couldn't finish the play. Henrik Holmgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rutger Blomqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Per-Erik Dalman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 98 minutes into the match, Magnus Svanér had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrik Holmgren. Älvsjö IFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Magnus Svanér was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Älvsjö IFK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
