Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gunnar Söderkvist kicked off to start the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Leo Lundgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stråssa FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Lundgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stråssa FK's Bertil Kock got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bertil Kock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jan Aleberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Helsingborgs IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Asklöv to maneuver through the defense. 0-1 became the score in the 17th minute when Leo Lundgren elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some careless play in the Stråssa FK defense, Gunnar Söderkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mark Pihlgren. The Stråssa FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mark Pihlgren should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunnar Söderkvist in the 37th minute of play forced Stråssa FK's goalkeeper Mark Pihlgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Aleberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertil Kock, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Bertil Kock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Aleberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Leo Lundgren made the kick off in the second half. Josef Hökkvist hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Jan Aleberg came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Stråssa FK's Bertil Kock. But to his dismay, Bertil Kock quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. If Leo Lundgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd match minute, Helsingborgs IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sakarias Arenius to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes in the game, Leo Lundgren fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jan Aleberg having to interfere. Jan Aleberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Lundgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Stråssa FK's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Sundén came free, but Mark Pihlgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74thth minute of the game Leo Lundgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Helsingborgs IF's Jan Aleberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Stråssa FK booed when Helsingborgs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertil Wallman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Helsingborgs IF's Jan Aleberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Lundgren in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute Gunnar Söderkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Pihlgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bertil Kock scored 1-4 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Aleberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Stråssa FK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Helsingborgs IF throughout the match.
