Spectators: 7443 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jens-Ove Bengtsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Claes Alrot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beržas Biknius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Ralf Dahlgren came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Grömsta BK's Jens-Ove Bengtsson. But to his dismay, Jens-Ove Bengtsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Allan Nordgren hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Grömsta BK's zone, Per-Åke Wallman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beržas Biknius came out of the goal and Per-Åke Wallman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Flavio Eate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Claes Alrot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borgafjället's supporters rose to their feet, but Claes Alrot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beržas Biknius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vilgot Larsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ralf Dahlgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Josef Biörkquist fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borgafjället's protests and gave Josef Biörkquist a yellow card for diving instead. Josef Biörkquist kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes, Grömsta BK's Allan Nordgren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ralf Dahlgren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grömsta BK reached it. In the 29th minute, Tommy Hjortsberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grömsta BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Mats Dahlman hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Borgafjället's Claes Alrot quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Flavio Eate, made in the 36th minute of the game. Tommy Hjortsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Borgafjället's Ralf Dahlgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Bengtsson in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Flavio Eate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claes Alrot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ralf Dahlgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Bengtsson in the 62nd minute of the match. Borgafjället's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Ingemar Persson scored to the left of an out of position Ralf Dahlgren, making the score, 0-3. Tommy Hjortsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. When Vilgot Larsson fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grömsta BK's protests and gave Vilgot Larsson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Grömsta BK getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Vilgot Larsson hit a great ball. When Jens-Ove Bengtsson came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Grömsta BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens-Ove Bengtsson couldn't finish the play. Ralf Dahlgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingemar Persson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vilgot Larsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
