Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Ingemar Persson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grömsta BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingemar Persson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Aleberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 22 minutes, Eddie Jakobsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grömsta BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eddie Jakobsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beržas Biknius was a little too slow when Hans Sundén got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Grömsta BK's zone, Sakarias Arenius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beržas Biknius came out of the goal and Sakarias Arenius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Grömsta BK's goalkeeper Beržas Biknius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rune Isaksson. In the 38th minute, Grömsta BK's Douglas Falk seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Douglas Falk the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Grömsta BK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Douglas Falk had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When the match had been going on for 39 minutes, Helsingborgs IF's Ove Almstedt got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Beržas Biknius. A hard shot by Ulf Palmquist from long distance, 42 minutes into the match, got Beržas Biknius's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Beržas Biknius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rune Isaksson in the 43rd minute. Hans Sundén hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 48 minutes, Beržas Biknius successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eddie Jakobsson to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Grömsta BK's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Sundén came free, but Beržas Biknius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eddie Jakobsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Alexander Högström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grömsta BK's Beržas Biknius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Sundén in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Hans Sundén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Eddie Jakobsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th match minute, Grömsta BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ove Bengtsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute of the match Lukas Asserlindh shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beržas Biknius showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rune Isaksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rune Isaksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Beržas Biknius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grömsta BK's Beržas Biknius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sakarias Arenius in the 94th minute of play. Helsingborgs IF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
