Jan Aleberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 9 minutes into the game, Sven-Åke Arvidsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bäver's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Helsingborgs IF the free kick. In the 9th match minute, FC Bäver was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Åke Arvidsson to maneuver through the defense. FC Bäver's Melker Dalkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save FC Bäver from getting a goal against them. Jan Aleberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Fribäck's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Rune Isaksson's late challenge caught a FC Bäver's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rune Isaksson helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Helsingborgs IF got a freekick which was hit by Rune Isaksson. After some careless play in the Helsingborgs IF defense, Daniel Fribäck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Aleberg. The Helsingborgs IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Aleberg should have stopped the shot. When FC Bäver's Daniel Fribäck in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Helsingborgs IF's goalie prevented a goal. After 20 played minutes Helsingborgs IF got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Högström. Torbjörn Wallengren was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 21st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Melker Dalkvist made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Rune Isaksson sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Helsingborgs IF defense, Bengt Browald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Aleberg. The Helsingborgs IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Aleberg should have stopped the shot. Jan Aleberg came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Bäver's Bengt Browald. But to his dismay, Bengt Browald quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. After a rather tough play, Helsingborgs IF's Bertil Wallman got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute, Torbjörn Wallengren sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Helsingborgs IF's Jan Aleberg didn't even have to move. Gunnar Söderkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Bertil Wallman kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rune Isaksson to strike the kick off in the second half. Melker Dalkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnar Söderkvist in the 52nd minute of the match. Rune Isaksson was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Helsingborgs IF getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Rune Isaksson hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Helsingborgs IF defense, Bengt Browald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Aleberg. The Helsingborgs IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Aleberg should have stopped the shot. Daniel Fribäck took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan Aleberg. Jan Aleberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Hans Sundén charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans Sundén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Bäver booed when Helsingborgs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Sundén didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Helsingborgs IF's Jan Aleberg got control of the ball when Bengt Browald tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 76 played minutes Helsingborgs IF got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Högström. Helsingborgs IF's Jan Aleberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Dahlberg in the 77th minute of play. Jan Aleberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Dahlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Jan Aleberg was a little too slow when Bengt Browald got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 0-8. Tor Klack kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Melker Dalkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunnar Söderkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tor Klack in the 91st minute of play forced Helsingborgs IF's goalkeeper Jan Aleberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Aleberg made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Daniel Fribäck sent off a good shot on target. Jan Aleberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Dahlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Bengt Browald could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Jan Aleberg however easily saved by the left post. FC Bäver played a much better game than Helsingborgs IF and deserved their victory. The Helsingborgs IF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
