The crowd rose to their feet as Linus Sundberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robert Lindell. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Olov Kruuse scored 1-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fredric Dahlman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Hisingen Islanders's zone, Magnus Kellberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fredric Dahlman came out of the goal and Magnus Kellberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Hisingen Islanders defense, Olov Kruuse kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fredric Dahlman. The Hisingen Islanders fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fredric Dahlman should have stopped the shot. Robert Lindell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Linus Sundberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Hisingen Islanders booed when Åsbro FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olov Kruuse didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Alf Berg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robert Lindell. That made the score 2-2 in the 29 minute of play. In the 36th minute, Alfons Viklund made a precise shot to the right of Fredric Dahlman. Hisingen Islanders's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Fredric Dahlman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Linus Sundberg was the one to do the kick off. Benjamin Melander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Robert Lindell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Åsbro FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olov Kruuse to maneuver through the defense. Sakarias Aleberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Fredric Dahlman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sakarias Aleberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Åsbro FK's zone, Linus Sundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Lindell came out of the goal and Linus Sundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Åsbro FK! In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Hisingen Islanders. Arvid Blomqvist stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Robert Lindell. 3-6. Chants of Åsbro FK echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Hisingen Islanders had held the ball for most of the match.
