The referee ignored Äspered's protests and gave Fredric Ljungberg a yellow card for diving instead. Fredric Ljungberg kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Sixten Hääger who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Urban Lund when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kalle Lilja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Karl-Åke Holmgren did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Urban Lund 24 minutes into the match. When Sebastian Kilstedt fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Lars Allbom's late challenge caught a MARADONA PINAKAMALAKI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Beckström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kalle Lilja in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kalle Lilja to make the kick off. Äspered's Karl-Åke Holmgren got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute Konrad Örtendal suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. During the 61st minute of the match Lars Allbom completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lars Allbom a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 63 played minutes Äspered got a freekick which was hit by Lars Allbom. With 68 minutes on the clock, Dennis Mikaelsson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Äspered! In the 75th minute, Jens Vestberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Beckström was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Greger Ahlroht during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Äspered booed when MARADONA PINAKAMALAKI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Greger Ahlroht didn't get a good kick on the ball. Äspered's Gabriel Beckström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Äspered from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Kalle Lilja took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Gabriel Beckström to make any attempt to save it. Greger Ahlroht was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, MARADONA PINAKAMALAKI's Greger Ahlroht got a free kick in the 90th minute. Fredric Ljungberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urban Lund having to interfere. After having played for 96 minutes, Kalle Lilja managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MARADONA PINAKAMALAKI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kalle Lilja was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
