An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo Högström in the 6th minute of play forced Syrianska FC's goalkeeper Anders Soned to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans Lingren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Anders Soned made a huge save. Hans Lingren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Soned having to interfere. The supporters of Syrianska FC booed when Vallvik IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Bagge didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustav Aronsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Sundberg in the 24th minute of play. Gustav Aronsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Sundberg in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Alf Emander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Jonatan Alströmer sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Syrianska FC's Anders Soned didn't even have to move. Vallvik IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivar Lövskog was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anders Soned breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vallvik IK's Gustav Aronsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Sundberg in the 44th minute of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Zebastian Edström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vallvik IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zebastian Edström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Vallvik IK's Hans Lingren got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Syrianska FC's zone, Zebastian Edström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anders Soned came out of the goal and Zebastian Edström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anders Soned showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Lingren in the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Hans Lingren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vallvik IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Lingren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustav Aronsson was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Rune Sundberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rune Sundberg really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Anders Soned showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zebastian Edström in the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, Hans Lingren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Roland Tingelholm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Gustav Aronsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Bo Högström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Soned saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vallvik IK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Syrianska FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
