Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuel Mouricio in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Edvin Törnblom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Bertil Stabbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Samuel Mouricio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven-Edvin Törnblom was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Öland fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Olsmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 46 minutes of play, Öland fc's Lars Olsmann made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kalle Hermansson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lars Olsmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sven-Edvin Törnblom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuel Mouricio's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 56 minutes into the game, Edwin Vallander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gimo's supporters rose to their feet, but Max Komara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Edvin Törnblom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Öland fc's zone, Samuel Mouricio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Edvin Törnblom came out of the goal and Samuel Mouricio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Öland fc fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gimo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
