In the 28th match minute, Lilla Skania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Olof Pettersson to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Sölvesborg's Elliot Fernström tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Karl-Erik Lang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavius Encea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Erik Lang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anders Asplund in the 37th minute of play. If Jonas Billock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anders Asplund to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Flavius Encea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 93rdth minute of the game Jonas Billock who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lilla Skania's Agne Johnsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 94 played minutes Sölvesborg got a freekick which was hit by Elliot Fernström. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lilla Skania walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
