Spectators: 7496 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Hajduk Split's Verner Vallman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Hajduk Split getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Rolf Jespersson hit a great ball. In the 6th minute Ermegildo Lauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Boklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesper Fors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Joseph Boklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joseph Boklund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ermegildo Lauro in the 10th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Surte BF's goal looked a bit too open when Verner Vallman came free, but Patrício Portugal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joseph Boklund stood somewhat misplaced when Ermegildo Lauro came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 20 minute. Thomas Thomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrício Portugal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Stenström, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the Surte BF defense, Lars-Erik Karlstedt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrício Portugal. The Surte BF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrício Portugal should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Hajduk Split getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ture Ahlqvist hit a great ball. Jesper Fors recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd match minute, Hajduk Split was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Stenström to maneuver through the defense. Rolf Jespersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrício Portugal having to interfere. Ermegildo Lauro in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joseph Boklund, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

The wind increased when Ermegildo Lauro made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Surte BF were awarded a corner. Jimi Hendrix went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Sandrinho de Amorim managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a rather tough play, Surte BF's Thomas Thomas got a free kick in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolf Jespersson got free with Patrício Portugal in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the match, Surte BF's goal looked a bit too open when David Stenström came free, but Patrício Portugal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ermegildo Lauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesper Fors in the 64th minute of play forced Hajduk Split's goalkeeper Joseph Boklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrício Portugal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Verner Vallman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrício Portugal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verner Vallman in the 67th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hajduk Split's Lars-Erik Karlstedt got a free kick in the 68th minute. Jesper Fors scored 3-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joseph Boklund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd minute Verner Vallman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrício Portugal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Surte BF's Patrício Portugal got control of the ball when Rolf Jespersson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Hajduk Split's Verner Vallman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Surte BF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
