53 minutes into the game, Malmvägen Boys's Joacim Karlsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jörgen Malmström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Samuel Odén scored 6-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jörgen Malmström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sten Tomasson took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johnny Eriksson. Johnny Eriksson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. After a defensive mix-up in Malmvägen Boys's zone, Sten Tomasson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Eriksson came out of the goal and Sten Tomasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute of the match André Grelsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jörgen Malmström skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Arne Gustafsson hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Bo Hammarberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan's supporters rose to their feet, but Bo Hammarberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnny Eriksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 76 minutes, Björn Enegren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Björn Enegren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Jönsson in the 79th minute of play forced Malmvägen Boys's goalkeeper Johnny Eriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jörgen Malmström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Emil Nyström, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Joacim Karlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jörgen Malmström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
