The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 played minutes Hallsberg FK got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Wallengren. Tomas Persson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arvid Hybbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The tension between the Hallsberg FK and the Grebbestad players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Hallsberg FK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Emanuel Lindholm hit a great ball. Pontus Skoog took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gösta Ferm. Gösta Ferm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 28 minutes into the match, Sven Åberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomas Persson. Grebbestad's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sven Åberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Tomas Persson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hubert Lindberg in the 31st minute of play. Mattias Mårtensson charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mattias Mårtensson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gustaf Hake kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Mattias Mårtensson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gösta Ferm, 2-2. Sven Åberg scored 2-3 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomas Persson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 47 minutes into the game, Pontus Skoog was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grebbestad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hallsberg FK the free kick. The supporters of Hallsberg FK booed when Grebbestad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pontus Skoog didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Mattias Mårtensson came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Grebbestad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mattias Mårtensson couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, Arvid Hybbert reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tomas Persson. The goal made the score 2-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Mårtensson in the 61st minute of play forced Hallsberg FK's goalkeeper Gösta Ferm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Persson came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Hallsberg FK's Sven Åberg. But to his dismay, Sven Åberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Grebbestad's Tomas Persson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arvid Hybbert in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Grebbestad's goalkeeper Tomas Persson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven Åberg. After 81 minutes, Albert Påk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grebbestad and the Hallsberg FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Grebbestad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Påk to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvid Hybbert in the 85th minute of play forced Grebbestad's goalkeeper Tomas Persson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Persson made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Sven Åberg sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Tomas Persson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gustaf Hake hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Roy Kalfhage managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grebbestad's supporters rose to their feet, but Roy Kalfhage was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gösta Ferm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
