After a defensive mix-up in Sernard FC's zone, Edwin Strömberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Karlberg came out of the goal and Edwin Strömberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valentin Petersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malte Almkvist in the 18th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tim Andersson in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valentin Petersson saved FC George from getting behind. Peter Karlberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fredric Damm's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. The audience was convinced that Malte Almkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentin Petersson was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 26th match minute, Sernard FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Skager to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes of play, FC George's Edwin Strömberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edwin Strömberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Peter Karlberg having to make a save. 36 minutes into the match, FC George's goal looked a bit too open when Malte Almkvist came free, but Valentin Petersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC George getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Edwin Strömberg hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Malte Almkvist was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Andersson in the 52nd minute of play forced FC George's goalkeeper Valentin Petersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Malte Almkvist came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Sernard FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Malte Almkvist couldn't finish the play. Sture Bergvall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Sernard FC's Peter Karlberg got control of the ball when Edwin Strömberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 65 minutes, Tim Andersson made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC George's Valentin Petersson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Tim Andersson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentin Petersson was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Sernard FC's Christian Skager got a free kick in the 75th minute. The supporters of FC George booed when Sernard FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Jonasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentin Petersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malte Almkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87thth minute of the game Tim Andersson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC George's Valentin Petersson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC George's Valentin Petersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malte Almkvist in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Andersson in the 92nd minute of play forced FC George's goalkeeper Valentin Petersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Sernard FC were victorious despite being under pressure from FC George for much of the match.
