Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rikard Bergstedt started the match with the kick off. Blackstad FF's Viktor Dalström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Blackstad FF from getting a goal against them. Viktor Dalström was a little too slow when Bengt-Rune Gallberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. The supporters of Blackstad FF booed when Marmaverken IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Lindsten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tony Kjellbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute, Leonardo Wassenius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nils Stenquist shot from long distance in the 17th minute, but Viktor Dalström was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Bernt Knutsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rikard Bergstedt in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Blackstad FF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hjalmar Källberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tim Lindsten during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tim Lindsten hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute Rikard Bergstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Knutsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Blackstad FF's goal looked a bit too open when Hjalmar Källberg came free, but Viktor Dalström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bengt-Rune Gallberg came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Marmaverken IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Rune Gallberg couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute there was a penalty for Blackstad FF. Leonardo Wassenius stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bernt Knutsson. 1-1. Marmaverken IFK's Bernt Knutsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Kjellbom in the 41st minute of play. Viktor Dalström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hjalmar Källberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Nils Stenquist sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Blackstad FF's Viktor Dalström didn't even have to move. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience was convinced that Bengt-Rune Gallberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Viktor Dalström was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Tony Kjellbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
