The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Herbert Söderman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. After 15 played minutes Los Terneros Engordados got a freekick which was hit by Henry Andreasson. After 16 played minutes, Strömsnäsbruk's Joakim Gråberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emil Fudalej came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Strömsnäsbruk reached it. After having played for 18 minutes, Herbert Söderman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Terneros Engordados's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herbert Söderman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd match minute, Los Terneros Engordados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Brummer to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Herbert Söderman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Terneros Engordados's supporters rose to their feet, but Herbert Söderman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marko Sandström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emil Fudalej made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Erik Kvick sent off a good shot on target. Oskar Bremming hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Los Terneros Engordados's Emil Fudalej got control of the ball when Erik Kvick tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sune Ersman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Emil Fudalej took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egon Duset, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Egon Duset reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emil Fudalej. The goal made the score 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herbert Söderman to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Egon Duset shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Fudalej saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Oskar Bremming took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Marko Sandström to make any attempt to save it. Strömsnäsbruk's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Herbert Söderman 57 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. In the 73rd minute, Erik Kvick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emil Fudalej was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The supporters of Strömsnäsbruk booed when Los Terneros Engordados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Andreasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Joakim Gråberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Strömsnäsbruk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Terneros Engordados the free kick. But to his dismay, Herbert Söderman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egon Duset in the 91st minute of play forced Los Terneros Engordados's goalkeeper Emil Fudalej to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 minutes, Roger Brummer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Terneros Engordados and the Strömsnäsbruk players grew even worse after the yellow card.
