Hoting's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Storebro BF the free kick. In the 21st match minute, Hoting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Åke Lundqvist to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Storebro BF's goal looked a bit too open when Ola Jönsätt came free, but Adam Larsfält reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt Kollberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulrik Bredberg in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Holger Vallgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adam Larsfält made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Jönsätt in the 36th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Eric Ahlrot made the kick off in the second half. Henrik Hansson's late challenge caught a Hoting's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henrik Hansson helped the player get up and apologised. Hoting's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arvid Ekberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Eric Ahlrot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Storebro BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Ahlrot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt Kollberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 93 minutes, Ulrik Bredberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Storebro BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulrik Bredberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfred Bark took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adam Larsfält. Storebro BF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hoting players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
