An unexpectedly hard shot by Esbjörn Karlsson in the 19th minute of play forced Strömsnäsbruk's goalkeeper Marko Sandström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erik Kvicks short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Egon Kiempe to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Lycke's Andy Apelquist got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the game, Erik Kvick cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Egon Kiempe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marko Sandström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Paulin, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filiph Örtendahl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Lycke defense, Erik Kvick kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egon Kiempe. The Lycke fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egon Kiempe should have stopped the shot. Egon Kiempe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt-Rune Tinglöf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Lycke's goal looked a bit too open when Filiph Örtendahl came free, but Egon Kiempe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Strömsnäsbruk's goalkeeper Marko Sandström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Esbjörn Karlsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Marko Sandström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 67th minute Erik Paulin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Sandström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Strömsnäsbruk's zone, Esbjörn Karlsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marko Sandström came out of the goal and Esbjörn Karlsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Strömsnäsbruk's Erik Kvick got a free kick in the 76th minute. Bengt-Rune Tinglöf hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Egon Kiempe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Kvick, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Strömsnäsbruk:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lycke:s goal. If Filiph Örtendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marko Sandström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Paulin, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Strömsnäsbruk fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lycke had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
