Fredric Häll fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svante Josefsson having to interfere. Vilgot Alfors struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Svante Josefsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alby. Fredric Häll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Svante Josefsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vilgot Alfors in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Svante Josefsson saved Vännäs BK from getting behind. When Sven-Åke Larsson fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vännäs BK's protests and gave Sven-Åke Larsson a yellow card for diving instead. If Vilgot Alfors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the game, Fredric Häll was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vännäs BK the free kick. Fredric Häll kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Bernt Säfström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Lindblom's late challenge caught a Vännäs BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vilgot Alfors was the one to do the kick off. Johannes Häger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Jens-Åke Wennerqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alby's Vilgot Alfors got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Björn Isaksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Alby's zone, Johannes Häger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens-Åke Wennerqvist came out of the goal and Johannes Häger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th match minute, Vännäs BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Arne Pihlblad to maneuver through the defense. If Vilgot Alfors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Häger in the 78th minute of play forced Alby's goalkeeper Jens-Åke Wennerqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
