Stockholm Vikings FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrik Bergdal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Stockholm Vikings FC's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Isaksson came free, but Fanis Giaourtelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egil Eriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Svante Josefsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egil Eriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Svante Josefsson came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Stockholm Vikings FC's Henrik Bergdal. But to his dismay, Henrik Bergdal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Sven-Åke Larsson's late challenge caught a Stockholm Vikings FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Åke Larsson helped the player get up and apologised. The Vännäs BK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Stockholm Vikings FC were winning 0-2.

Svante Josefsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Henrik Bergdal slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 51st minute. 56 minutes into the game, Jens-Erik Olofsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vännäs BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stockholm Vikings FC the free kick. A collision led to Vännäs BK getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jens-Erik Olofsson hit a great ball. Sven-Åke Larsson was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 59th match minute, Vännäs BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Åke Larsson to maneuver through the defense. Maxim Herescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henrik Bergdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johannes Häger charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johannes Häger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Svante Josefsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Börje Wennerqvist in the 77th minute. Dejan Savičević sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxim Herescu in the 85th minute of play forced Vännäs BK's goalkeeper Svante Josefsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Egil Eriksson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Svante Josefsson, 0-4. After 91 played minutes Vännäs BK got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Säfström. If Maxim Herescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Stellan Stor fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stockholm Vikings FC's protests and gave Stellan Stor a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Stockholm Vikings FC! Stockholm Vikings FC:s Fanis Giaourtelis showed great skill when he stopped Valter Alfors:s penalty. The Vännäs BK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Stockholm Vikings FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
