If Jon Holmstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Björn Westerstrand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Ove Tham, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Jon Holmstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Björn Westerstrand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Arboga SK's zone, Jon Holmstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Björn Westerstrand came out of the goal and Jon Holmstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jon Holmstedt came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Frosta HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon Holmstedt couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Olov Kullander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frosta HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Olov Kullander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Björn Westerstrand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 36 minutes, Karl-Magnus Blixt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frosta HC and the Arboga SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Frosta HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Magnus Blixt to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute Jon Holmstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Westerstrand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Björn Westerstrand didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Ove Tham went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Björn Westerstrand was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Jon Holmstedt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jon Holmstedt really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Börge Ek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Vikström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Björn Westerstrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Holmstedt in the 72nd minute of play. After 76 minutes, Aron Vikström made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Frosta HC's Börge Ek tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sven-Ove Tham's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Björn Westerstrand skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jon Holmstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Björn Westerstrand having to interfere. Sven-Ove Tham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
