Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mats Strandberg started the match with the kick off. Evert Stenqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Smedjebacken's Inge Trulsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Åke Hermansson in the 3rd minute of play. Mathias Sundberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Samuelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 11th minute, Karl-Åke Hermansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Länghem's Mathias Sundberg got control of the ball when George Samuelsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Länghem's zone, George Samuelsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathias Sundberg came out of the goal and George Samuelsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Måns Ekström hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Smedjebacken's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Strandberg came free, but Inge Trulsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mats Strandberg in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inge Trulsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Mats Strandberg put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Inge Trulsson. George Samuelsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Mathias Sundberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Åke Hermansson in the 31st minute of play forced Smedjebacken's goalkeeper Inge Trulsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Länghem booed when Smedjebacken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Lindholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Strandberg in the 33rd minute of play forced Smedjebacken's goalkeeper Inge Trulsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Samuelsson scored 1-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mathias Sundberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 51st minute Mats Strandberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inge Trulsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filip Lindholm struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Mathias Sundberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smedjebacken. Evert Stenqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 67th minute Evert Stenqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Sundberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inge Trulsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Strandberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Inge Trulsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karl-Åke Hermansson in the 72nd minute. Mathias Sundberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Albäck in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute, George Samuelsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mathias Sundberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Mathias Sundberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Samuelsson in the 84th minute of the match. George Samuelsson took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mathias Sundberg. Mathias Sundberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1.
