Tanumshede FF's Michael Walroth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Andreasson in the 23rd minute of play. Henry Deckbergh kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Ingmar Melin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herman Alegren was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sigvard Ambjörnsson to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Balrog FC defense, Nils-Åke Alström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herman Alegren. The Balrog FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herman Alegren should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Balrog FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tanumshede FF throughout the match.
