The long shot by Rickard Albäck in the 21st minute really tested Karl-Oskar Sjögren's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-0 when George Samuelsson sped through Fagersta AIK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Karl-Oskar Sjögren. The supporters of Smedjebacken booed when Fagersta AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torgny Beckman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Åke Blomberg hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling George Samuelsson in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Oskar Sjögren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Smedjebacken booed when Fagersta AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicklas Odeen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 minutes, Roy Kaxe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fagersta AIK and the Smedjebacken players grew even worse after the yellow card. Karl-Oskar Sjögren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Samuelsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Oskar Sjögren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Samuelsson's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Karl-Oskar Sjögren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Samuelsson in the 88th minute of the match. Evert Stenqvist struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Karl-Oskar Sjögren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smedjebacken. George Samuelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Oskar Sjögren having to interfere. George Samuelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Smedjebacken were the better team. Smedjebacken's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
