Fagersta AIK's Karl-Oskar Sjögren tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Karl-Oskar Sjögren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sigvard Ambjörnsson's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Sigvard Ambjörnsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karl-Oskar Sjögren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigvard Ambjörnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Erik Dalström in the 45th minute of play forced Fagersta AIK's goalkeeper Karl-Oskar Sjögren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With his leg Karl-Oskar Sjögren managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Balrog FC's Sigvard Ambjörnsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sigvard Ambjörnsson in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Oskar Sjögren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marko Isaksson scored 0-7 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl-Oskar Sjögren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fagersta AIK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Robert Åman scored to the left of an out of position Karl-Oskar Sjögren, making the score, 0-8. Roy Kaxe struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Herman Alegren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fagersta AIK. In the 82nd minute Karl-Erik Dalström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Oskar Sjögren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per Månsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sigvard Ambjörnssons short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Karl-Oskar Sjögren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
