Änglarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertil Ahlfors was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bertil Ahlfors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anton Wennerqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Matsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 21 played minutes Mangopapaya IF got a freekick which was hit by Alf Liljeström. If Bertil Ahlfors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. After 38 minutes, Per-Oskar Lundgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mangopapaya IF and the Änglarna players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th minute, one of Mangopapaya IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mangopapaya IF. In the 40th minute there was a penalty for Änglarna. Herbert Pettersson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Anton Wennerqvist. 1-1. If Christian Matsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Mangopapaya IF's goalkeeper Anton Wennerqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Matsson. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Christian Matsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hans Busk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalle Bergsten having to interfere. If Christian Matsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Bertil Ahlfors got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Mangopapaya IF's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Matsson came free, but Anton Wennerqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mangopapaya IF were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Änglarna to leave the ground with a draw.
