Anton Lund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tage Lindberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anton Lund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Ove Stabbe in the 46th minute of play forced Kivs United's goalkeeper Anton Lund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Kivs United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vilshults IF were winning 0-1.

When Richard Nyberg came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Kivs United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Nyberg couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto Botelho in the 62nd minute of play forced Vilshults IF's goalkeeper Torsten Stenqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kivs United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tage Lindberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Anton Lund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig-Ove Stabbe in the 90th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Kivs United's goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Wallmark came free, but Anton Lund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 94 played minutes Kivs United got a freekick which was hit by Zé Augusto Botelho. Vilshults IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
