Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tage Lindberg made the kick off which started today's match. Alex Ek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Stenqvist having to interfere. Sven-Edvin Askberg charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sven-Edvin Askberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vilshults IF booed when VS Åby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Edvin Askberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stig-Ove Stabbe got free with Elliott Sundberg in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Vilshults IF's Stig-Ove Stabbe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elliott Sundberg. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. 20 minutes into the match, Vilshults IF's goal looked a bit too open when Verner Ödmann came free, but Torsten Stenqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. VS Åby's Henric Åman got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Verner Ödmann fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VS Åby's protests and gave Verner Ödmann a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Verner Ödmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elliott Sundberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tage Lindberg in the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Verner Ödmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Stenqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gunnar Tøndborg hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Jerry Wallmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elliott Sundberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torsten Stenqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Verner Ödmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Verner Ödmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind VS Åby's goalkeeper Elliott Sundberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Henric Åman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Torsten Stenqvist having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as VS Åby's Gunnar Tøndborg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Torsten Stenqvist. That made the score 1-3 after 55 minutes of play. Tage Lindberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Elliott Sundberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Stig-Ove Stabbe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elliott Sundberg. VS Åby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stig-Ove Stabbe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tage Lindberg in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elliott Sundberg saved VS Åby from getting behind. After some careless play in the VS Åby defense, Tage Lindberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elliott Sundberg. The VS Åby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elliott Sundberg should have stopped the shot. Vilshults IF's Torsten Stenqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Vilshults IF from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Verner Ödmann put it in 3-5 from a short distance just to the right of Torsten Stenqvist. Vilshults IF's Torsten Stenqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Ek in the 86th minute of play. Henric Åman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torsten Stenqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded VS Åby left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vilshults IF.
