It was a penalty for Vilshults IF! The referee gave VS Åby a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alex Ek, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vilshults IF's Torsten Stenqvist. 1-0. Elliott Sundberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stig-Ove Stabbe's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Gunnar Tøndborg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Torsten Stenqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verner Ödmann in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Ove Stabbe in the 16th minute of play forced VS Åby's goalkeeper Elliott Sundberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torsten Stenqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henric Åman in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Vilshults IF's goalkeeper Torsten Stenqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henric Åman. Torsten Stenqvist made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Verner Ödmann sent off a good shot on target. When VS Åby's Verner Ödmann in 23 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Torsten Stenqvist guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Verner Ödmann in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Torsten Stenqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Torsten Stenqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Verner Ödmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute, Jiang Hai Kun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Torsten Stenqvist managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when VS Åby's Henric Åman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Vilshults IF's Tage Lindberg got a free kick in the 34th minute. A collision led to Vilshults IF getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Nils Wennerberg hit a great ball. After 38 played minutes Vilshults IF got a freekick which was hit by Tage Lindberg. After having played for 39 minutes, Henric Åman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VS Åby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henric Åman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Torsten Stenqvist made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Verner Ödmann sent off a good shot on target. Henric Åman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. VS Åby's attack was well implemented in the 45th minute, but when Verner Ödmann was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Nils Wennerberg hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. A collision led to VS Åby getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Piotr Fahlgren hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Stig-Ove Stabbe made the kick off in the second half. Torsten Stenqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex Ek went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Verner Ödmann sped through Vilshults IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Torsten Stenqvist. Torsten Stenqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Verner Ödmann went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The attack was good, but when Verner Ödmann in the 68th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 69 minutes into the game, Henric Åman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Torsten Stenqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henric Åman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Torsten Stenqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Verner Ödmann scored 6-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Torsten Stenqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute, Stig-Ove Stabbe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 82 minutes, Joacim Bokelund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vilshults IF and the VS Åby players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Vilshults IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of VS Åby:s goal. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vilshults IF's goalkeeper Torsten Stenqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verner Ödmann in the 89th minute of play forced Vilshults IF's goalkeeper Torsten Stenqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torsten Stenqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verner Ödmann in the 91st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vilshults IF's zone, Verner Ödmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torsten Stenqvist came out of the goal and Verner Ödmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that VS Åby were the better team. VS Åby's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
