In the 37th minute of the match, Jonatan Fristedt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lars-Erik Kjellberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilbert Fogel was the one to do the kick off. Gunnar Sundbergs short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Karl-Ove Axelsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Fristedt in the 56th minute of play forced Södertälje's goalkeeper Lars-Erik Kjellberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars-Erik Kjellberg came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Dala-Järna's Jonatan Fristedt. But to his dismay, Jonatan Fristedt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 60th minute, Gunnar Sundberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl-Ove Axelsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Gunnar Sundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. The Södertälje supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Södertälje would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
