Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After a rather tough play, Rottne IF Fotboll's Per-Arne Samuelsson got a free kick in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Rottne IF Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Sakarias Skoog came free, but Kjell Berggren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Näsbypark Nuggets's goalkeeper Anton Lindberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stefan Hellkvist. With a little luck, Näsbypark Nuggets's Anton Lindberg got control of the ball when Göran Törnkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Yngve Axelsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Näsbypark Nuggets's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rottne IF Fotboll the free kick. Yngve Axelsson kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Stefan Hellkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Anton Lindberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Anton Lindberg managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Rottne IF Fotboll's Göran Törnkvist fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 39th match minute, Rottne IF Fotboll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Hellkvist to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Rottne IF Fotboll booed when Näsbypark Nuggets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Åke Blom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anton Lindberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Ove Vennerlund in the 43rd minute of play. If Rutger Vinström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Göran Törnkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stefan Hellkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Lindberg having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Göran Törnkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anton Lindberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The Rottne IF Fotboll fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Rottne IF Fotboll's Göran Törnkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Anton Lindberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Göran Törnkvist's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 74th minute Göran Törnkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Lindberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Göran Törnkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Lindberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Hellkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Stefan Hellkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Näsbypark Nuggets's goal looked a bit too open when Göran Törnkvist came free, but Anton Lindberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefan Hellkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anton Lindberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stefan Hellkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Göran Törnkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anton Lindberg was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. There was no doubt that Rottne IF Fotboll were the better team. Rottne IF Fotboll's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
