Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gubbvadens BK's Tomas Bergström started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kjell Berggren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Bergström, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 8th minute, Göran Törnkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nils Olsmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 10 played minutes Rottne IF Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Oskar Mattsson. After a defensive mix-up in Gubbvadens BK's zone, Andy Hellsing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils Olsmann came out of the goal and Andy Hellsing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roger Asmundsson kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Mikael Forssell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rottne IF Fotboll's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikael Forssell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nils Olsmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Hellkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kjell Berggren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roger Asmundsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. After having played for 25 minutes, Mikael Forssell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rottne IF Fotboll's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikael Forssell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rottne IF Fotboll's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tomas Bergström 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Rottne IF Fotboll's Kjell Berggren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Bergström in the 35th minute of play. Stefan Hellkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Nils Olsmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Mikael Forssell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Nils Olsmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 46 minutes of play, Rottne IF Fotboll's Mikael Forssell made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nils Olsmann was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Göran Törnkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Gubbvadens BK got a freekick which was hit by Frank Sundén. Tomas Bergström succeeded in the game's 66th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-3. Rottne IF Fotboll's Kjell Berggren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sundén in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Rottne IF Fotboll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Westerberg to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the match, Rottne IF Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sundén came free, but Kjell Berggren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gubbvadens BK's Anton Lund got a free kick in the 75th minute. Göran Törnkvist's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Nils Olsmann skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 80 minutes into the match, Rottne IF Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sundén came free, but Kjell Berggren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 minutes of play, Gubbvadens BK's Tomas Bergström made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kjell Berggren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stefan Hellkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Nils Olsmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee gave Gubbvadens BK a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bertil Kollberg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rottne IF Fotboll's Kjell Berggren. 5-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sundén in the 98th minute of play forced Rottne IF Fotboll's goalkeeper Kjell Berggren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gubbvadens BK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
