The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Grangärde BK's Håkan Siöberg got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Grangärde BK getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Oskar Söderqwist hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Grangärde BK's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Söderström came free, but Rickard Kling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Grangärde BK's Håkan Siöberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roald Trellund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rickard Kling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Söderström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Egemonium FC's zone, Håkan Siöberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roald Trellund came out of the goal and Håkan Siöberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rickard Kling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Söderström in the 35th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Håkan Siöberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Håkan Siöberg to make the kick off. Håkan Siöberg struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Roald Trellund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grangärde BK. When Håkan Siöberg came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Grangärde BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Håkan Siöberg couldn't finish the play. After having played for 60 minutes, Håkan Siöberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grangärde BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Håkan Siöberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The attack was good, but when Håkan Siöberg in the 62nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Oskar Söderqwist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Håkan Siöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roald Trellund having to interfere. If Håkan Siöberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Egemonium FC defense, Egil Hellbom kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roald Trellund. The Egemonium FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roald Trellund should have stopped the shot. Valentin Söderström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Rickard Kling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Håkan Siöberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Grangärde BK's Pål Finsberg got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Grangärde BK were the better team. Grangärde BK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
