The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Olof Kristiansson during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Orion BK booed when Hrafninn Flýgur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Olof Kristiansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Hrafninn Flýgur's Sune Öman got a free kick in the 14th minute. Orion BK's Robert Byström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Orion BK from getting a goal against them. If Jonathan Andersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Springfält came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Orion BK's Jonathan Andersson. But to his dismay, Jonathan Andersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gabriel Springfält showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oskar Lundhberg in the 44th minute of the match. Gabriel Springfält made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Andersson in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute Jan-Olof Asklöv shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Springfält saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 50th match minute, Hrafninn Flýgur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Dalgren to maneuver through the defense. Allan Carlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Springfält having to interfere. When Bengt Mager came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Orion BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt Mager couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Hrafninn Flýgur's zone, Allan Carlsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Springfält came out of the goal and Allan Carlsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hrafninn Flýgur's Gabriel Springfält proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Hrafninn Flýgur from getting a goal against them. At last the ball reached Jonathan Andersson at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Hrafninn Flýgur. 0-3. 69 minutes into the match, Jonathan Andersson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Springfält. Hrafninn Flýgur's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonathan Andersson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Gabriel Springfält took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oskar Lundhberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Springfält made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonathan Andersson in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Andersson in the 79th minute of play forced Hrafninn Flýgur's goalkeeper Gabriel Springfält to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match Jonathan Andersson climbed in front of goal and pressed up 0-5 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Gabriel Springfält. Bengt Mager fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Springfält having to interfere. Jan-Olof Asklöv received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gabriel Springfält tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hrafninn Flýgur's Gabriel Springfält played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Andersson in the 95th minute of play. Orion BK played a much better game than Hrafninn Flýgur and deserved their victory. The Hrafninn Flýgur players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
