The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Per-Erik Kleen charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Per-Erik Kleen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Korskrogen booed when Simrishamn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Erik Kleen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th match minute, Simrishamn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingemar Springfält to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Korskrogen's goal looked a bit too open when Leif Blom came free, but Gustaf Larsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingemar Springfält in the 15th minute of play forced Korskrogen's goalkeeper Gustaf Larsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Korskrogen's Gustaf Larsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Blom in the 20th minute of play. Simrishamn's Jan-Olof Ek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Simrishamn from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Olliver Frans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Korskrogen's supporters rose to their feet, but Olliver Frans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Olof Ek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 25 minutes, Sixten Åkerman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Simrishamn and the Korskrogen players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 played minutes Simrishamn got a freekick which was hit by Sixten Åkerman. Olliver Frans's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Jan-Olof Ek skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The wind increased when Leif Blom made the kick off in the second half. Gustaf Larsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leif Blom, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Dick Böcklund charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 65th minute, Bengt-Åke Lindberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Korskrogen's Marcus Henriksson got a free kick in the 71st minute. Dick Böcklund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Simrishamn's zone, Bengt-Åke Lindberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Olof Ek came out of the goal and Bengt-Åke Lindberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan-Olof Ek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Olsson in the 84th minute of the match. Simrishamn's Jan-Olof Ek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olliver Frans in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Malcolm Asmundsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Korskrogen players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
