Peter Strömqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André Brovall. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter Strömqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 5th minute Ivar Tinglöf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Brovall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 8 minutes on the clock, Allan Fransson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Juventus FC. Gilbert Johnsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Georg Lövgren. 0-1. Peter Strömqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Peter Strömqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Göran Andersson during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Juventus FC's Göran Andersson got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 26th minute, Peter Strömqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peter Strömqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Brovall having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Juventus FC's Ian Widberg got a free kick in the 41st minute. Peter Strömqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Juventus FC's zone, Joar Linberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Brovall came out of the goal and Joar Linberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Juventus FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some careless play in the Juventus FC defense, Ivar Tinglöf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Brovall. The Juventus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Brovall should have stopped the shot. Juventus FC's André Brovall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivar Tinglöf in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Juventus FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Björn Björk hit a great ball. Krister Jonsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Brovall read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Oxie IK's Peter Strömqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 62nd minute of the match Björn Björk completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Björn Björk a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Björn Björk hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Ivar Tinglöf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Göran Andersson kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Oxie IK's Krister Jonsson got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Krister Jonsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. André Brovall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivar Tinglöf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the game, Sven-Edvin Falck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oxie IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Juventus FC the free kick. In the 80th match minute, Oxie IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Edvin Falck to maneuver through the defense. Juventus FC's André Brovall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krister Jonsson in the 83rd minute of play. Jonathan Lönn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ivar Tinglöf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Brovall was relentless in the 87th minute of the game.
