Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Simrishamn's Sixten Åkerman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Wargöns IK fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Wargöns IK's Ralf Hjelm looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Wargöns IK's Matthias Stensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Wargöns IK from getting a goal against them. Leif Blom's late challenge caught a Wargöns IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leif Blom helped the player get up and apologised. Ralf Hjelm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Olof Ek having to interfere. Gösta Sundberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gösta Sundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 minutes, Magnus Ahlbeck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wargöns IK and the Simrishamn players grew even worse after the yellow card. Magnus Ahlbeck hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Matthias Stensson made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Sixten Åkerman sent off a good shot on target. Jan-Olof Ek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Hjelm in the 32nd minute of play. Gösta Sundberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leif Blom struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Matthias Stensson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simrishamn. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Simrishamn's goalkeeper Jan-Olof Ek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Ralf Hjelm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Gösta Sundberg took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Jan-Olof Ek to make any attempt to save it. Ralf Hjelm struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Jan-Olof Ek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wargöns IK. Ralf Hjelm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Olof Ek having to interfere. Jan-Olof Ek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gösta Sundberg's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leif Blom in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matthias Stensson saved Wargöns IK from getting behind. In the 71st match minute, Wargöns IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigvard Lang to maneuver through the defense. Jens-Åke Skog's late challenge caught a Simrishamn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jens-Åke Skog helped the player get up and apologised. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wargöns IK! In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Simrishamn. Dick Böcklund stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Matthias Stensson. 1-3. Per-Erik Kleen charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Per-Erik Kleen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Per-Erik Kleen kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Ralf Hjelm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wargöns IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralf Hjelm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ralf Hjelm came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jan-Olof Ek could save by the left post. Wargöns IK's Magnus Ahlbeck got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Magnus Ahlbeck off the ground. Magnus Ahlbeck kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Sixten Åkerman struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Matthias Stensson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simrishamn. Wargöns IK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
