Läckeby were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Real Madrid CF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Holger Fanström took the corner. Lars-Erik Bruhn charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lars-Erik Bruhn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Real Madrid CF got a freekick which was hit by Lars-Erik Bruhn. Benjamin Näfver made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Mattias Arenberg sent off a good shot on target. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gottfrid Strömbom hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, Läckeby's goalkeeper Benjamin Näfver had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bo Nordlander. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaj Granberg in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lars Björk saved Real Madrid CF from getting behind. Bo Nordlander's late challenge caught a Läckeby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo Nordlander helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Real Madrid CF's Bo Nordlander got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute of the match Holger Fanström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lars Björk skillfully saved the ball. After 41 minutes, Torbjörn Dahlberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Madrid CF and the Läckeby players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Real Madrid CF getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Torbjörn Dahlberg hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lars-Erik Bruhn made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Läckeby got a freekick which was hit by Patric Boman. In the 53rd minute, Karl-Magnus Ström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Calle Lilja's late challenge caught a Real Madrid CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calle Lilja helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th match minute, Läckeby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calle Lilja to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Lars-Erik Bruhn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Madrid CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars-Erik Bruhn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Real Madrid CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars-Erik Bruhn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kaj Granberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Lars Björk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Läckeby's Benjamin Näfver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Arenberg in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th minute Mattias Arenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Näfver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lars Björk made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Kaj Granberg sent off a good shot on target. Mattias Arenberg struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Benjamin Näfver didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Madrid CF. If Mattias Arenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Läckeby's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
