Spectators: 7587 (Terracing: 5691, Seating: 1745, VIP seats: 151) When Torgny Dal came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Midland FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torgny Dal couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the game, Midland FC's Torgny Dal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michael Johansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, IF Karlstad Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Torgny Dal came free, but Michael Johansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torgny Dal struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Michael Johansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Midland FC. If Torgny Dal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to IF Karlstad Fotboll getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ernst Örn hit a great ball. IF Karlstad Fotboll's Michael Johansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torgny Dal in the 33rd minute of play. Michael Johansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torgny Dal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Alexander Apelqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd match minute, Midland FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dick Lagerberg to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in IF Karlstad Fotboll's zone, Jerry Aspengren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Johansson came out of the goal and Jerry Aspengren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Torgny Dal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Michael Johansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, IF Karlstad Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Torgny Dal came free, but Michael Johansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Johansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torgny Dal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 61 minutes, Torgny Dal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Midland FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torgny Dal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Midland FC's goalkeeper Jens-Ola Siöberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jens Flink. Michael Johansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Söderström in the 74th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Jerry Aspengren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Midland FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerry Aspengren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Johansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute, Bernt Söderström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, IF Karlstad Fotboll's Jens Flink got a free kick in the 86th minute. Michael Johansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernt Söderström, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Midland FC's attentive Jerry Aspengren managed to snatch the ball when Josef Hasselqvist made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game. 93 minutes into the match, IF Karlstad Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Torgny Dal came free, but Michael Johansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Midland FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
