Midland FC's Jakob Winström quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Esbjörn Brolin, made in the 5th minute of the game. With a little luck, Midland FC's Jens-Ola Siöberg got control of the ball when Harry Kvarnström tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Torgny Dal put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Kalle Grubb. When Bernt Söderström fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Midland FC's protests and gave Bernt Söderström a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Midland FC's Bernt Söderström got a free kick in the 21st minute. The supporters of Skurup booed when Midland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerry Aspengren didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Georg Hellqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Askberg hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torgny Dal in the 28th minute of play forced Skurup's goalkeeper Kalle Grubb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torgny Dal struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Kalle Grubb didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Midland FC. Georg Hellqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Jens-Ola Siöberg made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Skurup's zone, Bernt Söderström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kalle Grubb came out of the goal and Bernt Söderström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torgny Dal in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kalle Grubb prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Aspengren in the 42nd minute of play forced Skurup's goalkeeper Kalle Grubb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerry Aspengren scored 0-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kalle Grubb, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Torgny Dal was the one to do the kick off. If Bernt Söderström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th match minute, Skurup was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magne Karlsson to maneuver through the defense. After 65 minutes, Esbjörn Brolin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skurup and the Midland FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Midland FC booed when Skurup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esbjörn Brolin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Midland FC's Torgny Dal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Bernt Söderström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerry Aspengren charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jerry Aspengren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jerry Aspengren hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Kalle Grubb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torgny Dal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Skurup's Esbjörn Brolin got a free kick in the 80th minute. After 86 played minutes Midland FC got a freekick which was hit by Torgny Dal. In the 88th minute, Esbjörn Brolin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torgny Dal in the 89th minute of play forced Skurup's goalkeeper Kalle Grubb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Skurup's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dick Lagerberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Midland FC's players had a chance to rest. Esbjörn Brolin hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Midland FC's Dick Lagerberg tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Midland FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Skurup.
