Spectators: 7460 (Terracing: 5596, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lars-Erik Bruhn started the match with the kick off. 13 minutes into the game, Göran Holmgren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Lars Björk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 18 played minutes Real Madrid CF got a freekick which was hit by Bo Nordlander. If Rasmus Söderberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Gottfrid Strömbom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 24 minutes, Göran Holmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skillingaryd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Göran Holmgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Holmgren in the 27th minute of play forced Real Madrid CF's goalkeeper Lars Björk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Rasmus Söderberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skillingaryd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Göran Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lars Björk came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Skillingaryd's Göran Holmgren. But to his dismay, Göran Holmgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When Mattias Arenberg came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Real Madrid CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mattias Arenberg couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the game, Dag Grönlund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Madrid CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skillingaryd the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rasmus Söderberg in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lars Björk saved Real Madrid CF from getting behind. Göran Holmgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Lars Björk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Skillingaryd were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Göran Holmgren to strike the kick off in the second half. Lars Björk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göran Holmgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rasmus Söderberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gottfrid Strömbom's late challenge caught a Skillingaryd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gottfrid Strömbom helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Real Madrid CF getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Gottfrid Strömbom hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Rasmus Söderberg made a precise shot to the right of Lars Björk. Real Madrid CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. If Rasmus Söderberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Göran Holmgren charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Göran Holmgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Skillingaryd's Göran Holmgren got a free kick in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Real Madrid CF getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Gottfrid Strömbom hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rasmus Söderberg got free with Lars Björk in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bo Nordlander's late challenge caught a Skillingaryd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo Nordlander helped the player get up and apologised. Bo Nordlander kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Real Madrid CF's Lars Björk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Holmgren in the 70th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Mattias Arenberg notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Skillingaryd's Arman Alebäck. Arman Alebäck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Göran Holmgren in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lars Björk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rasmus Söderberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Lars Björk made a huge save. After having played for 81 minutes, Göran Holmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skillingaryd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Göran Holmgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arman Alebäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattias Arenberg in the 91st minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Rasmus Söderberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skillingaryd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. Skillingaryd's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
