After 20 played minutes Sollefteå got a freekick which was hit by Rune Blomberg. 1-1 became the score in the 29th minute when Stellan Gulliksson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Lone Oak booed when Sollefteå was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Ivarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agne Samuelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Hermansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sollefteå getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Rune Blomberg hit a great ball. David Hård struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Agne Samuelsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lone Oak. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, David Hård took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Agne Samuelsson to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Lone Oak:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sollefteå:s goal.

In the 58th minute of the match, Andreas Lidström tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Harald Bergman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 59 minutes into the game, Alexis Vanderlat recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Harald Bergman. Alexis Vanderlat showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After a rather tough play, Lone Oak's Alf Hermansson got a free kick in the 64th minute. Alf Hermansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Egil Hellbom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harald Bergman was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Alf Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
