The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Sverker Hylander fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SLÄPPEN FK's protests and gave Sverker Hylander a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes SLÄPPEN FK got a freekick which was hit by Sverker Hylander. Kjell-Arne Nordin might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miroslaw Rzeszutek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kjell-Arne Nordin ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell-Arne Nordin in the 8th minute of play forced SLÄPPEN FK's goalkeeper Miroslaw Rzeszutek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jon Sigfridsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivar Blanck in the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Ivar Blanck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jon Sigfridsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kasper Hägert struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Jon Sigfridsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SLÄPPEN FK. Joacim Bergstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Miroslaw Rzeszutek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Ivar Blanck notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FK Crvena zvezda's Jon Sigfridsson. Jon Sigfridsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 36 minutes into the match, FK Crvena zvezda's goal looked a bit too open when Kasper Hägert came free, but Jon Sigfridsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calle Rudkvist's late challenge caught a SLÄPPEN FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calle Rudkvist helped the player get up and apologised. Calle Rudkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Joacim Bergstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Calle Rudkvist hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Jon Sigfridsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kasper Hägert in the 46th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Ivar Blanck made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Joacim Bergstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Crvena zvezda's supporters rose to their feet, but Joacim Bergstedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miroslaw Rzeszutek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miroslaw Rzeszutek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell-Arne Nordin in the 55th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Jon Sigfridsson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Ivar Blanck took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Jon Sigfridsson to make any attempt to save it. After 62 played minutes SLÄPPEN FK got a freekick which was hit by Kjell Åkesson. Jon Sigfridsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivar Blanck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, FK Crvena zvezda's goalkeeper Jon Sigfridsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John Olsson. Jon Sigfridsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sverker Hylander, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. FK Crvena zvezda's Jon Sigfridsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save FK Crvena zvezda from getting a goal against them. Jon Sigfridsson was a little too slow when Ivar Blanck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 85th minute Ivar Blanck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Sigfridsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, SLÄPPEN FK's Ivar Blanck ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jon Sigfridsson. Jon Sigfridsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SLÄPPEN FK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
