In the 19th minute of the match Irak got a corner. The Notorious ©'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Johnny Caspersson ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Irak's Kjell Fagrell to a score. 1-0 in the 19th minute. Hans Nordlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilhelm Bengtsson in the 25th minute. Lars Rolandsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Melker Vennerdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Nordlund having to interfere. Hans Nordlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Rolandsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Irak fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lars Rolandsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Vilhelm Bengtsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hans Nordlund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Lars Rolandsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Nordlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Irak's Daniel Elg got a free kick in the 99th minute. Irak's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
