With a couple of smart ball manuevers August Göransson in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gösta Fågel saved Djurgården from getting behind. Djurgården's Gösta Fågel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Malmberg in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute, August Göransson made a precise shot to the right of Gösta Fågel. Djurgården's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 35th minute, Kjell Tidén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gösta Fågel came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Gällstad's Anders Malmberg. But to his dismay, Anders Malmberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Otto Josefsson made a kick off. If Anders Malmberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute, Anders Malmberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 57 minutes of play Djurgården's Kennet Lindholm was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Gällstad's August Göransson got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gösta Fågel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from August Göransson in the 68th minute of the match. After 71 minutes Djurgården's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Peter Gunnarsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Djurgården's goalie and right to Rune Wallgren. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Djurgården's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Djurgården's Frans Berggren quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Emanuel Finsberg, made in the 74th minute of the game. After 81 minutes, Anders Malmberg made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Djurgården's Gösta Fågel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gösta Fågel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from August Göransson in the 93rd minute of play. Kjell Tidén charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kjell Tidén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
