Gösta Fågel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rasmus Linqvist's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Birger Västerstrand took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gösta Fågel. Gösta Fågel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Otto Josefsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Tomas Mårtensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Djurgården's Kjell Tidén got a free kick in the 18th minute. Djurgården's Gösta Fågel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rasmus Linqvist in the 23rd minute of play. Jan-Ove Jonasson hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The Djurgården players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jox United were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Rasmus Linqvist made the kick off in the second half. Rasmus Linqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Gösta Fågel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Gösta Fågel managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Jox United's Rasmus Linqvist fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 53rd minute Birger Västerstrand suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. During the 53rd minute of the match Jan-Ove Jonasson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jan-Ove Jonasson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Jox United booed when Djurgården was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Ove Jonasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Edgar Hökkvist took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Gösta Fågel to make any attempt to save it. Gösta Fågel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edgar Hökkvist showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 63 minute of play. Yngve Fridlund's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gösta Fågel firmly grabbed it by the left post. Carl Nordkvist lost his temper 68 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Djurgården:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jox United:s goal. In the 73rd minute, Jox United's Lennart Hök ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gösta Fågel. Gösta Fågel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Djurgården's Kennet Lindholm managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rikard Majman in the 83 minute of the game. Yngve Fridlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yngve Fridlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gösta Fågel having to interfere. Gösta Fågel made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Rasmus Linqvist sent off a good shot on target. Gösta Fågel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rasmus Linqvist went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. 99 minutes into the match, Djurgården's goalkeeper Gösta Fågel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rasmus Linqvist. Jox United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
