Emil Persson charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Persson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, Emil Persson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonatan Fogel got free with Douglas Landin in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Douglas Landin didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 6th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Olof Tunander in the 25th minute of play forced Coffe FC's goalkeeper Nontas Papaefstathiou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonatan Fogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Landin having to interfere. The supporters of Coffe FC booed when Real Malmö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Åke Dalman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonatan Fogel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Douglas Landin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Landin came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Coffe FC's Jonatan Fogel. But to his dismay, Jonatan Fogel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jonatan Fogel struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Douglas Landin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coffe FC. After 41 minutes, Jörgen Andberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coffe FC and the Real Malmö players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Coffe FC's Jörgen Andberg got a free kick in the 41st minute. Jonatan Fogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Landin having to interfere. Joakim Lindberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rutger Kock stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonatan Fogel might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Douglas Landin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonatan Fogel ran back to his position shaking his head. Douglas Landin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonatan Fogel's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Rutger Kock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nontas Papaefstathiou having to interfere. Jonatan Fogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Coffe FC's Joakim Lindberg got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Joakim Lindberg made a precise shot to the right of Douglas Landin. Real Malmö's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 68th minute Rutger Kock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nontas Papaefstathiou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute Joakim Lindberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Landin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Real Malmö defense, Jonatan Fogel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Douglas Landin. The Real Malmö fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Douglas Landin should have stopped the shot. If Jonatan Fogel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonatan Fogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Landin having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joakim Lindberg in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Douglas Landin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Malmö's goalkeeper Douglas Landin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Coffe FC had played much better football throughout.
