Jan-Ove Jonasson hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Niels Zwinkels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gösta Fågel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gösta Fågel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Chano in the 32nd minute of play. Urban Bäck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guaberto Chano struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Gösta Fågel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edsberg. A beautiful save bye Djurgården's goalie prevented a goal. Jan-Ove Jonasson's late challenge caught a Edsberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee ignored Edsberg's protests and gave Niels Zwinkels a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Djurgården booed when Edsberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niels Zwinkels didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Urban Bäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Otto Josefsson hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Urban Bäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gösta Fågel having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
