The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Hera FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hedemora:s goal. The referee gave Hedemora a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gösta Wester, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hera FC's Ingvar Johansson. 1-1. Rudolf Sjöberg scored 1-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingvar Johansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Sigvard Hellsing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sigvard Hellsing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingvar Johansson having to interfere. Nils-Åke Mårtensson scored 1-3 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingvar Johansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the game, Gösta Wester cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Ingvar Johansson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Sigvard Hellsing sped through Hera FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ingvar Johansson. Ingvar Johansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sigvard Hellsing's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Gösta Wester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Sigvard Hellsing put it in 1-6 from a short distance just to the right of Ingvar Johansson. Sigvard Hellsing took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ingvar Johansson. Ingvar Johansson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. Rudolf Sjöberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ingvar Johansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sigvard Hellsing stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ingvar Johansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sigvard Hellsing's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Per-Erik Brandt during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 played minutes Hera FC got a freekick which was hit by Per-Erik Brandt. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Sigvard Hellsing put it in 1-8 from a short distance just to the right of Ingvar Johansson. Peter Nilsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from William Hellbom went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-8 was the resulting score. After 67 played minutes Hera FC got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Michael Bolin. The audience was convinced that William Hellbom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Nilsson was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Oskar Lundin in the 73rd minute of play forced Hedemora's goalkeeper Peter Nilsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Oskar Lundin kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Ingvar Johansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rudolf Sjöberg in the 87th minute. A collision led to Hera FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. William Hellbom hit a great ball. When Karl-Oskar Lundin fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hera FC's protests and gave Karl-Oskar Lundin a yellow card for diving instead. After 89 played minutes Hera FC got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Oskar Lundin. Rudolf Sjöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingvar Johansson having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, Hera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Ove Cane to maneuver through the defense. Gösta Wester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hedemora's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
